By the lake

My plan was to, take alot of outdoor photos of my dolls this summer. But I didnt have that many opportunities to do it ( I dont have my own garden) and when I had the opportunity, the weather was bad or I was too tired and didnt feel like it - it has to feel right. I did get a few good once of my Liv doll Rose, by a small lake near my house. But as I kept hoping to take more pictures, I allso put off showing the once I did take.

Im really happy with how you can see the water, in the background in this picture - I think it looks quite idyllically.

I mostley took this photo to show off her new shoes, and she seems a bit more playful here.

I wanted to take a nice closeup photo of her

I liked how it looked, that she had the sun in her face - she seems to enjoy it

I wanted a photo of her looking at the water, and I think I did well, capturing her profile.

I hope I will get more summer pictures of my Liv dolls next year, but im pretty happy with those that I got.

LEGO Mini cooper

This was a REALLY awsome birthday gift, yet I totally forgeot to talk about it.
I really wanted this Lego car because its a larger scale, than what they normally use for their sets with typical mini figures. And I thought my Belville dolls, might be the right scale to fit this car. There is no car in the Belville world, and I thought they could really use one.
I like it because its a nice green color, and its awsome looking with all those great details.
It looks like such a nice family car.

There is 1077 bricks in this set, and it took us 2½ hours to build. I build it with help from my boyfriend, and I had alot of fun with it, so time was flying. It was pretty interresting to build this verry detailed car, from the motor to the roof.

When the adult Lego Belville dolls stand besides the car, it loooks like its too big for them.

Yes the roof comes off.
But the fit INSIDE the car, is a bit too small. The seats are the right size, but there is barely any leg room. so the dolls, have to sit with their legs up to fit. And the steering wheel made it imposible for annyone, to sit in the drivers seat - so I ended up removing it.

The front seats can be turned forward, so the kids can get out from the backseat. Its a tight squise, but its a verry realistic looking detail.

The front of the car opens up, so you can take a look at the motor.

The trunk allso opends, and inside is a picknic basket and blanket.

The little family was verry excited, to go on a picknic together. The bqasket is a little big for them, but it has to be big, in order to hold stuff.

In the basket there are bred, two glasses and two yellow triangles, im quessing those are suppose to be wedges of cheese. I might end up putting some fruit in the basket insetad of the cheese, its a good thing I have alot of LEGO food.

While the kids were playing, the adults enojyed some quality time together.

I really like this LEGO car. The colors and style of the car is nice + all the details make it look verry realistic. The car is not just pretty, it is allso functional. My Belville dolls can drive around it it and go on family trips, even rhough the size is a bit off.
Now I kinda want the Creator camper..

Barbie Fashion 2-pack - pretty pastels

I have tryed alot of different outfits, on my Barbie doll Kira. Some of it looked quite nice on her, but in the end, nothing felt right for her character.
This is where I should have went down to Toys'r us, and bought one of those Barbie fashion 2-packs. Except that they had sold out of those. When the 2016 fashion packs hit the shelves earlier this year, I decided to wait instead of buying them right away. I was interested in 3 out of the 4 available, but I was not really sure about them. I was mostley interested in 1 outfit in each of the packs, and I try not buy fashion packs just for 1 outfit. But the fashion packs slowly sold out during spring, I told myself they would restock, but they never did. Im a little annoyed at myself, that I missed out on those fashion packs. Especially because I have done the sam ething before, do I never learn?
Well its more that teh fashion packs here in denmark is kinda exspensive, they cost 3 times as much as in USA. And I keep hoping for a chance to snatch them up as a lower price, but they allways sell out before they get marked down.

Annyways
I looked for fashion packs on ebay, and I was lucky to find a pack that I REALLY wanted. It was sold by an eropean seller, so the shipping was affordable and I didnt have to worry about customs. all in all I actually payed less than I would have, in a danish store.

I actually wanted this "pretty in pastels" fashion pack, since I saw promo pictures of it late ion 2015. But it was not one of the 4 fashion packs to reach Denmark. When I saw it on ebay I thought the outfit on the left would be perfect for Kira, since its both girly and casual. I allso think yellow is her color, and she looks nice in pastels.

The rumper is a verry nice light blue color, with light yellow stiching. The legholes are pretty wide and short, they just barely cover Kiras thigh joints. The rumper has a nice colar, its a little crooked, but i dont really mind that.
The pattern are pretty white daisys with blue and yellow in the middle, it allmost makes it looks like they are green in the middle.

Thankfully the nice pattern goes all the way around, it seems like Mattel totally stopped doing the pattern half with these fashion packs. She has a bare back, and the rumper opends with welcro at the neck, Despite the welcro opening being so small, it was verry easy to dress my doll in it.

This yellow cardigan type shirt, is verry unique looking. The sleves are 3/4 lengh, and made of a verry soft knit material. While the front is made of this verry pretty lace like material, the pattern in the material is flowers and leaves.
I think the cardican match the rumper perfectly.

The dress has a light pink bodice with white stiching, in a knit like material. It has a sweetheart neckline, and short sleves. The sleves has a tendensy to slide a bit off the shoulders.
The skirt is of a shiny material, at first I thought it would be stiff, but its actually soft. The skirt has purple stiching, that match the purple waistband.
The pattern is checkered and in 3 different colors, first blue, then purple and then pink. As the pattern changes colors, the squares in the pattern becomes smaller. i really like this pattern, its verry interesting and the colors work so well together.

The lovely pattern goes all the way around the skirt. The dress opens with welcro, in the bodice.

Lets take a look the the accessories. The set came with a pair of shoes and one bag. At first I didnt think much about it, but when I looked at other fashion packs online, I noticed that some of them have 2 accesories. I think 2 accesories and 1 pair of shoes is pretty fair, so I kinda feel like something is missing here. The fashion pack I bought in 2014, even had two pair opf shoes and 2 accesories.
It seems like half of the current fashion packs have two accesory, and the other half dont. I find that a bit annoying.

The shoes are short flat sneaker, that are a verry nice lavender color. They have alot of molded details, and a slit in teh back. The slit is pretty usefull, since the sneakers are made of hard plastic.
I really like these sneakers, they are both casual and pretty.

The bag is a small purse, with a long strap. Its the smale color as the shoes, so they match verry nicely.

Kira paired up the rumper and cardigan, with the shoes and purse. It looks nice, but somehow the purple color dosent quite match. I wonder if it would have been better if the accesories was a light blue color, I bet that would match both outfits verry well.

The match is pretty perfect with the dress though. Its a cute but casual outfit, and the colors actually looked pretty good on Michelle.

But I allways intended the dress to go to my liv doll Rose. Its really cute on her, and its totally her style. She accessorized with a white heart necklace, and her favorite pair of earings. I had trouble figuring out what shoes woud match though, which surprised me. It turns out that her two pair of pink shoes, are too dark for this pastel dress. But luckly I had these white maryjanes, and they look okay with the dress.

Kira is verry happy with her new outfit, now she have something of her own, and she is ready for some fun in the sun. I myself is pretty pleased with this fashion pack.

Emilys face

My doll Emily, is an "its my nature" Sophie. I like her, But I allways felt like the makeup was wrong for Emily.

Emily is a girl who pefer pastels, and cold colors such as blue and purple. therefore I didnt think the orange lipstic and yellow eyeshadow really suited her. I though that I could repaint her lips, but there is sno way that I can repaint her eye makeup without ruining her eyelashes. So I decided to look for a Sophie with less eyeshadow.

My pick was "schools out" Sophie. She looked promissing, and I wanted her outfita s well.

Hannah looks gret in Sophies outfit. And the shoes went to Rose, who really needed a pair of nice pink flats.

"Its my nature" left and "schools out" right

I compared "its my nature" Sophie and "schools out" Sophies faces, and they turned out to be quite different. I was right that School, dont have that much eyeshadow. But her eyelashes is darker, and it looks like she is wearing more eyeliner + she does have some dark eyeshadow right around her eyes. School allso have darker eyebrows than nature, they are actually a complete different color.
School has a lighter skintone than nature, which suprised me. I had noticed that my Hyadens, have lighter skintones than my Sophies and Katies. But I didnt expect two sophies to have different skin tones. The lighter skintone makes Schools blush stand out more, so it looks like she is vering quite a bit more than Nature.

I dressed up "Schools out Sophie" in Emilys clothe and wig. to see if it would work. At first I thought it looked fine, but in the end she didnt really look like Emily to me. I pefer Emily with lighter eyebrows, the blush is too much and her eyemakeup seemed to be too dark.
I might have been able to fix some of these things, but I really didnt feel like fixing it all. So I was back to square one with Emilys face.

An old picture of Emily with blue eyeshadow and bright pink lips.
First I tryed to figure out, if any other Sophie doll had a better suited face. I didnt find many helpfull pictures, and  from what I saw, most Sophies have makeup that wouldent work. First wave Sophie might work thought, but she has those intense bright blue eyes.
Then I tryed to figure out if one of my other dolls might actually work. Its my nature Hayden has a sweet face with mild makeup, but she allso have darker eyebrows. And my only other Sophie has a blue eyeshadow that I cant stand.
So in the end I decided to repaint those orange lips and atleast try to remove the yellow eyeshadow.

Before
I removed the lipstick with nailpolish remover, and I removed some of her yellow eyeshadow as well. My goal was to paint her lips in a color, that looked natural.
I mixed some red and white paint, undtil it was a nice light pink color. Then I mixed in some yellow, and I ended up with this verry light kinda peachy color. I sealed it with matt varnish.

After
This color is a bit too light to look natural, but I think it suits her. I hope I can leave it at that, I kinda wanna give it another try and and mix a more natural looking color. But I allso feel like that would be exhasuting and I dont think I would be more pleased with that result.
Its hard to see in this picture, but in real life it actually does look like I removed most of her yellow eye shadow.

So hopefully Emily is done now.
I love how customizable Liv dolls are. But sometimes it gets  exhasting to work on, making the dolls look just right. *glaring at the dolls who needs new wigs*
This is why I dont want to collect BJDs. I have my cats, but besides that I think it sounds exhasting to build the doll from scratch.
And this is why I actually really enjoy, that my Barbies and Paola Reinas arent as customizable. With my Livs I try to make the doll fit the character, but with the others, I make the character fit the doll.

Barbie - Made to move Teresa

Okay so I know I said that I would not buy more dolls, undtil late fall or winter. But the reason I decided that, is because I thought that I needed to take a break from buying dolls. I bought a verry exspensive doll in may, and I felt like I had to save up money from my buget to pay for him. This put me under some stress because there are alot of stuff I wanna buy, and I tryed to use less than was set aside for each month. My boyfriend exsplained to me that the Tonner dolls was a speciel purchase, and that I should nor compromise my buget because of him. I have paid a bit under half for him with money form my buget, the rest I paid with my everyday money. And maybe its okay to leave it at that. My plan was to save up my buget money, so I could pay all of him with it, but i decided to let it go. My boyfriend pointed out that the idea with the buget was not to limit me, but to help keep track of what I use, and I liked the idea to set aside a certain amount each month. I quess limiting how many dolls I buy, is pretty silly to start with. the last couple of years, I have only bought 5 or 6 dolls. So if I wanna buy a few dolls extra this year, I dont think I should fuzz about it.

I quess Igot kinda side tracked there, but the thing is that I really wanted another Barbie - Made to Move doll. I felt like Kira needed a friend to hang out with, and I felt like having two dolls to start with made more sense, than just one lonely doll.

So I bought the Made to Move Teresa, and I REALLY like her. I actually think the outfit she comes in, looks pretty nice on her. I think it looks better than the yellow top, that my first doll Kira came in. I think the colors and the fit is better with this one.

I named her Michelle, she is 25 and into gymnastics.

I really like her warm and gentle face. Im not the biggest fan of her smile, but I think it suits her and I really like her dimples. Its interesting for me, that she has a different face mould than Kira. My Liv and Paola Reina dolls all have the same face mould, so that is something new for me. Kiras nose is more pointy, her jawline is sharper and her smile is wider. I really enjoy the differences in their faces, and it helps to define their personality.

I didn't try many different outfits on her, because when I put her in this casual outfit - it was just right. The shorts are actually some I bought, in a small lot of barbie clothe a long time ago. I was dissapointed that they didnt fit my Liv dolls, so I had just put them away. But they fit my Barbie dolls perfect, and im pretty happy about that.

Im genrally pretty happy, with my two new Barbie dolls. I placed them on my desk, and I like how they look, sitting there together. I thought that when I gave in to my urge to buy another Barbie, I might feel the urge to buy yet another one. But for right now, I feel verry content with these two. Offcors I still want the other Made to Move dolls, I just dont feel like its a pressing matter annymore.

Doll finds.

I love finding small objects in random stores, that are just perfect for my dolls. I dont really find stuff like that all that often, so im pretty excited when I do.

I found ths small decorative plastic plant, and I thought it would be nice to put it in my Paola Reina  room. They only had them with black and white pts, so I choose white. I kinda wish they had them in more colors though.

I put it on the dresser in the room, and I think it looks really nice. The white pot kinda dissapears against the white wall though, but I hope it helps to put some decorations on the wall.

My boyfriend and I went to a amusement park, with my brother and his girlfriend. There were souvenir shops EVERYWHERE in the park, and in one of them my bother spotted these small frog plushies, that I totally feel in love with. They had them in many different colors, so it was really hard to choose. But I ended up with the orange one.

I decide to give the frog plushies, to my Paola Reina Emma. She loves plushies, and I thought it was a nice size. Gosh she looks so cute with her new plsushie <3

My boyfreind and I stopped by a grocery store, we uselly dont shop in. I saw these small laundry baskets, and knew I had to have one for a doll room. My first thought was that I might give it to my Paola Reaina dolls.

But I realised that the size wasn't right, and I gave it to my Liv doll Leia. The size is much better for her, I would actually say that its near perfect. i can imagne her taking the basket, to the washing machine and doing her laundry.

I put thr basket in the room, between her bed and her closet. I put clothes in it, so it looks used. And I think its a pretty great accessory for her room.

My boyfreind and I, went to a Zafari zoo with my family. In the souvenir shop, we found these small bean ball plush animal. i thought they were super cute, and my boyfreidn ended up buying the giraff -  he loves giraffes and thought this plus was super cute and weird. I thought he would put it on his desk, or something like that. But he said to me that he thoughht, that one of my dolls might want it. And I would lie if I said that I had not thought, the plushie might be a nice size for a Paola Reina.

Both Amalie and Nadia wanted the plushie. But I ended up giving it to Nadia, since she is the only Paola Reina who dosent have a plushie of her own.
