A bunch of Barbie clothes

Toys R US advertised that they had a huge sale during January and most of February. I looked at the danish Toys R US website, and I found two barbie dresses that I really wanted, for 42% off. I ordered the two dresses, for pickup in the store nearest me. When I got to the store to pick up teh dresses, they were filling up the shelves with new items. They had a bunch of a red dress that were 42% off as well, but it had not been avalible to order through the website. There were allso a box of single fashions (tops, skirts pants and such), most ifo them I didn't really like, I have seen soem online that I liked better. But there was this white an dpink pair of pants, and offcors I wanted more Barbie pants. Then a store clerk told me that there were a box of barbie accessories she had not yet pup on the shelf, and those were on sale as well. I dove in and found a pack with a pair of shoes I really wanted.

I was VERRY excited to walk out of the store with 3 barbie dresses, a pair of pants and a accessory pack. I uselly dont buy so much at a time, but I only spend about the same amount a fashion pack with two outfits costs. 

I bought this blue and yellow dress for Kira, because those are her colors and it looked like a nice everyday dress. The top of the dress is a nice soft strech ,material, and I think the blue and white stripes are great for a casual look. The skirt however is shiny and stiff, it looks wrinkled, and it does not fall verry niicely. Besides that I dont like the yellow waistband, it is a shiny material as well and it looks very useless since it is the exact same color as the skirt. I would have liked if it was a different color so it would stand out, then I think it would have made more sense to me.

The waistband does not go all the way around, which I don't like at all. 

When she sits down in her dress, it is sagging alot around her hips, and I dont like that either. I think i might be able to get use to it, but I display my dolls sitting down and I dont like when it looks like they are wearing a sack. 

I still think the colors look nice on her though, and I think I have solved my waiatband problem. I put this brown plastic belt over the fabric, and I think that looks much better, I allso paired the dress with her golden sandals, and a bracelet from the accessory pack I just bought. 

This dress is so beautiful, I really like the flowery pattern and the colors. so I HAD to get it. I was so it would look nice on Shina, and so it did. The fit is perfect and purple have allways suited Shina really well. The fabric allso feels nice, it is synthetic, but it is soft and behaves like it should. 

The pattern on the dress goes all the way around, which is very important for me. I have some Barbie clothes that have beautiful patterns on them, but it annoys me too much that the clothe is only pretty from the front, so I don't use that clothe annymore. 

I REALLY like this verry pretty and cute summer dress, I hope to take some pictures of Shina wearing it when spring comes around. 

I must admit that I mostley wanted this dress because I thought it was pretty. I red is one of my favorite colors, I really like flower prints and teh cut of teh dress is different from what we uselly see. I did think the dress could work, for my flower and romance loving liv dolls Rose. The way the dress is made, the hips looks very big and the bodice slides down. But my issue with rose wearing it, is that the dress is too loose around her waist, that really bothered me.

This dress allso have a waistband, but it looks much better since it is white. 

The prin cont8inues all teh way around, Yey! But the waistband does not, that is a shame. Looking at my doll from behind while she is wearing this dress, really make it looks like she have a biot bootey, she really dosen't.

The dress is not as loose on my Barbie dolls, but none of my girls actually wants it. As of right now I dont know what to do with this dress, but I really hope I figure it out. I do really like this dress, it is just a very troublesome piece of clothing. 

I espected the pink and white pants to be thin, but they are actually pretty thick, they allmost feel like a denim kind of meterial. The pants does make the dolls hips looks a bit bigger, but I dont think it looks bad. I think the pink pattern on the pants look verry interesting.

The pattern thankfully goes all the way around. They close in the back with velcro, and they stay closed when she sits down, far from all doll pants does that. 

I thought the pants would go with alot of different shirts, but I actually found it difficult to match them with something. I am sure I will figure something out, and Aisha seemed to like this pair of pants.

I mostley bought the accessory pack, because of these gladiator sandals. They are different than other barbie shoes I have, because they go up highter on the dolls leg. These shoes lock the dolls anckles in place, it is a bit annoying, but it does not bother me too much. I really like these shoes, they are very stylish, and they go with alot of different outfits. One of my dolls are allready wearing them.

I like the color of these shoes, but I dont like the style. I doubht I am going to use these, but I felt the same about the high heeled boots I got in my last accessory pack, and those ended up being Aishas favorite shoes

The bag is the same color as the shoes, I like that. I allso like that you can put things in the bag, but since I dont use plastic bags for my dolls, it wont make much of a difference for me. I think it looks weird that there are holes in the bag, that would not be very useful if it was a real bag.

This bracelet is really nice. The metalic blue color goes well with a lot of things, and so does the style of the bracelet, it can both be egdy and elegant. I have allready put this bracelet on Kira, since it was a good match for her new dress.

I dont like these sunglasses at all, they are too big and round, they make the doll look verry bug eyed. I dont really use sunglasses on my dolls to begin with, but these are too awfull to even consider.

But they do look nice enough on top of her head.

I have mixed feelings about this silver necklace. I like that it is silver colored, and it sits really well on the dolls neck. But it is a really chuncky necklace, and I dont know if I like that, since I am unsure if it will look good with any of my dolls dresses.

Michelle rock these accessories, but she will have to share with her friends.

That is all I got for now, but I hope to get some more doll clothes soon. I really want my new Barbie dolls to have nice clothe that fit their style, and I plan to get even more Barbie dolls, that wilkl need new clothes. 

Snow in february

Wednesday last week we got a nice amount of snow here in Denmark, so I dressed up my Barbie dolls and took them out in the cold with me. 

Kira was pretty exited to get outside and see the snow.

 

Kira and Michelle had to touch the snow, to find out how it feels in their hands. 

Aisha tried to make a snow angel, but there was not enough snow for it to work. 

But she had fun climbing this tree, she found a good branch to sit on. 

Kira and Aisha was really enjoying looking at the snowy landscape, it was very beatiful.

Michelle fell in the snow, she laughed at herself, but Aisha still wanted to make sure that she was okay. 

Michelle got on her feets again, she really enjoyed being outside even though it was cold and wet. 

Barbie - Made to move orange top

I was not suppose to buy a new Barbie dolls last month, the plan was to buy a new Paola Reina doll. But then I saw that the made to move dolls was half off, because of the january sales. They had the pink top and the orange top, I really wanted Orange top, and I knew I would regret it if I did not get her. I did not think I would get another opportunity to buy Orange top for half off, so she came home with me, and the Paola Reina had to wait. 

I did not like how her hair looked in the box, I thought it looked like it tried to be as in the promotional pictures but failed. The way her hairis tied to the boks, does not display her curls very well. 

I liked seeing ALL the made to move dolls from the first series, on the back of her boks. The boks allso show her having big honeyblonde corkscrew curls.

Out of the box her hair felt a bit stiff, so I decided to brush it. Her curls looks verry different from the promotional pictures on the back of her box. This doll have looser curls, and it looks like the color is a bit different. I do like her curls looking like this, I just dont like that there is such a huge difference from the sales pictures, and the actual doll. 
I decided to name her Cassie, short for Cassandra. Her sport is going to be running.

She has two tones in her hair, platinum blonde, and a more honeyblonde tone. I really like how these two tones makes the hair color look more realistic, I wish more of my dolls had two toned hair. Oh and I think her curls looks great from the back. 

She has the same face sculpt as Aisha, I really like this sculpt, and the two dolls look VERY different. I like the color and shape of Cassies eyebrows, and I am glad that she does not have any eyeshadow on. But I kind of wish her lips was a warmer color, as warm colors seems to suit this doll and I dont want all of my dolls to have similiair pink lips. I would consider repainting her lips, but I am not sure what color would suit her, and I dont think I am brave enough to just try.

I tried to find Cassie something besides her training clothe to wear, but thats was not verry easy. I could only find this one dress that worked, and it is not a dress that is very suitable for everyday wear. I think warm ccolors and earthy tones will suit her, so I think the boho fashion pack for 2017 will work for her.

I didn't bond with this doll at first because I had not spend much time with her. But now that I have spend time taking pictures of her, and writing about her, I really enjoy her. At first I was not sure I would like her blonde hair with her brown skin color, but now I think it makes her really interesting.

My plan is to take a break from buying Barbie dolls for a while, not because I want to take a break from buying dolls. But because Barbie is the only dolls I have bought since may last year, and I want to leave some room to buy other dolls. 

Liv fashion pack- Turquoise dress.

I have been wanting to buy a Liv doll fashion pack for a LONG time, years actually. Most of the times that I have choosen to buy soemthing for my liv dolls, I ended up with a new doll. But last month I finally bought a fashion pack, that I have wanted since I first started collecting Liv dolls.  

I bought this Liv'n Hip outfit because I think the turquise dress looks really nice, and I though my doll Leia would like it. I was actually kind of surprised to see that this fashion pack came with this much stuff, yes I know it is shown in the pictures and all, but I was skeptical. 

On the back of the package there were some great pictures of Liv dolls wearing different outfits from fashion packs. I really like this picnic one.

I really want that orange dress, but I am not sure if I would put it on Hannah or Nia. I like the purple top from the other outfit, but I allready have the green striped skirt so I would not be getting that. 

I allso really like the casual outfits, especially, the one with the striped red shirt and light blue pants.

But lets move on to the fashion pack that I actually bough.

And butt indeed, because I could NOT get the pants on my doll. I have experienced Liv doll pants that were too lose to fit the dolls properly, but too small to even get on the dolls is way worse.
In the end my boyfriend helped me get the pants on her.

This fashion pack came with a turquoise dress, a turquoise scarf, jean capri pants, a light blue bag, a gold necklace, a gold butterfly bracelet and brown shoes.
I like the dress as much as I though I would, the material feels really nice, it has a good lengh and the pattern is pretty. I like the pants too, I just dont like the pants with the dress. The jewelry is verry pretty, but I dont think they match the dress all that well. I think it would have matched better if it was silver colored instead og gold colored, since silver looks better with cold colors. Im not too big a fan of the brown boots with the dress either.

I really like this jewelry, the necklace is so pretty, the pendants make me think of peacocks. I love the gold butterfly bracelet, it is verry elegant but allso kind of cute, and I have a pair of liv doll earings that match. 

The whole outfit together is great for a Bohemian look, but I wanted something more elgant for Leia. Therefore I choose to just have her wear, the dress and the scarf. I think that looks verry elegant, and that is just right for Leias style. 

I put the pants, jewelry and boots on Nia instead. I did actually manage to get the pants on her by myself, so it might be that they will work for me afterall. I think the jewelry works better with the warm colors of Nias top, The boots allso suits Nias style better. Im  not sure that Nia will keep all of this stuff though.
