The zelfs

Zelf are super cute, they remind me of those trolls from the 90 but they have alot more personality.
Im still verry exited, that they actually started selling them in denmark.

But im not going to fill my apartment up with Zelfs, im verry picky - and when I first heard about them there were only 2 (from series 1) that I wanted. Those two were Flamy and Elfa. I think I would want miss clover too, if she it weren't because she is super rare, covered in glitter and I dont like her clover wings. I allso have a good eyes to that Venys flytap Zelf, that comes with the salon playset. Im really not fond of the thought of buying a playset, just for the zelf that comes with it - but I would really like to have her one day. I quess I generally, like the green zelfs the most. 
But I actually added a third zelf to my wishlist, who arent green. 

It took me 2 trips to the toystore, before I found all 3 of them.

My zelfs

I bought Howlette and Flamy on my first trip to the toystore, but I couldent find Elfa. Luckily I found Elfa, the second time I went looking for her.

I originally didnt want Howlette, im not into the whole wearwolf thing. But when I showed a picture of her to my boyfriend ( I thought he would like her colors ), He said that she looked like a purple cat. And then I looked at her totally different, because i love cats and I really like the color purple. In the end I dont think they is annything that makes her look more like a canine that a feline.
I allso dont really like, that blue cat from series 2. 
So now im calling Howletet purple kitty, and I like her verry much

I really like her cute tail

I think Flamys dragon theme, works verry well for him/her - I really like all the details on his/her body.
But I must admit I would pefer if the flame on the belly and some of the hair was, orange instead of pink. I have never heard of a dragon, who was breathing pink fire.I really dont think the pink color goes well with the dragon theme. 
I still like him/her verry much through.

I really like the painted on scales. I quess the head on his/her bum, is suppose to be a dragon head - but I think it looks more like a bat.

Elfa is my favorite (so far), I love her combination of yellow and green, leaf and flower details. her pointy ears, the hair in two different shades of green, her green feets, her freckles and that cute smile. 
I abselutley love her.
While Flamy and purple kitty looks like they could be about to make trouble, Elfa just looks sweet.


I allready have a pretty clear idea, about what zelfs from series 2 I want. I definitely want Birchy, flitter is super cute and I really want Ribbita even through she is only sold with a playset. Lady B, Owlmanda Dorothy-doe and Kitsu are on my maybe list.

Getting new dolls

So my birthday is comming up, and yesterday we were celebrating my dads and my birthday with some family. I got alor of birthday money, and I might get more because the rest od the family didint have time to visit until mid april. 
Quite a while ago I decided, that when I got some birthday money I would atleast buy one dolls. I have really been wanting first wave Danilea, and Alexis as the queen of hearts - so some of my chracters (Shina and Rebecca) would finally have the right skin color. Yesterday evening I ordered Danilea from amazon (she was cheaper there than on ebay) and I found Alexis on ebay for a good prize. The seller was allso selling its my nature Alexis for a good price, she is another big want of mine. My boyfriend encouraged me to get them, so now there is 3 liv dolls on their way to Denmark.  

Last week I won a used hearts for hearts girl Dell. The weird thing is, that I dont really understand it yet. I have been wanting Dell for so long, and she has been out of my reach but now I will actually get her. She dosent come in her original outfit, and the describtion said that her neck is loose - but besides that she should be in a nice condition. 

The zelfs allso recently came to Denmark, which im verry happy about. I bought Flamy and howlette, I really want Elfa too. Zelfs are super cute, and im looking foward to when series 2 comes to Denmark as well.

A sunny day in the forest

Spring is here- the sun is shining and its getting warmer but the air is still chilly and there isint leaves on the trees yet.

Hannah asked Emily is she wanted to take a walk with her in the forest and listen to the birds singing.

When Lea heard talking about the forest she insisted that she came too.

Emily loves hearing the birds sing. Hannah can tell who some of the birds singing is, and she wants to teach Emily how to hear it.

Lea can be such a tree hugger sometimes, Hannah cant help but smile at her best friend.

 I really wanted to take some pictures of my dolls now that the sun had started showing and spring is in the air. But not having a garden, and being verry shy dosent make it easy.
i didnt really dare to take pictures of my dolls in the forest by myselvf, but my boyfriend said yes to go with me and then I felt like I could do it.

I didnt take many pictures because there werent any flowers blooming in the forest and there werent much green besides moss.

New barbie clothes - part 2

Lets take a look at the other clothes I bought

I choose this set because I really liked the idea of having sleepwear for some of my dolls. I really like how the shirt and pants look, I like the color and style of the (bath)robe and the long shirt looks like it would be great ower a pair of leggings. I allso knew exatly which girl would get which clothes. But I werent sure about the long shirt, I dont like that It says "little doll big dreams" on the front. I dont really like the Idea of my doll wearing a shirt, that points out that she is a doll. I allso thought that I might not like, how short the bathrobe style dress is. 

When I saw that this set was market down in price, I knew I wanted it.

Hannah is modelling the first outfit. I thought that exspecially the top fits her style, and the pants could be in her taste too. But in the end I hope to find her some shorts to sleep in, and the pants will probably go to Nia since they will totally be in HER taste. 

The top is black with white dots, the stiching around th neckline and the sleaves are lilac, the stiching at the buttom is yellow and there is a piece of pink lace around the buttom of the shirt. All these details are verry nice, I exspecially like the white dots and the pink lace. 

On the front of the shirt there is the text "dont bother me" in lillac with a white edge and under it is the text "im sleeping" in white on a pink background. It looks verry nice, the barbie head rightb besides the text bothers me a little but as it blends in nicely its not too bad. 

Sadly the shirt has no pattern on the back. But in the end its only the white dots that are missing so it could be much worser. If it was an elaborated pattern this would bother me alot,  but since its only a few dots that are missing I can live with it.

The fabric of the pants, are a little stiff. They are yellow with pink stiching and a creative pattern. The pattern consist of various speach bubles, black barbie heads, combs, white hearts, black hearts, pink lips and more. This pattern makes me think about comic books, and I really like it. 

The pattern goes all around the back on th pants, which just makes me like them even more.   

Shina is modelling the robe, its verry much her style and her color. I could totally see Shina wearing it while getting herselvf ready in the morning. This robe has alot of details - its a dark purple with some lighter spots, the collar is allso a lighter shade of purple, it has a black belt with a bow, ruffel around the edge and a elaborated pattern.

The pattern consit of black half cirkels that kinda looks like leopard spots, black hearts, black barbie head, pink hearts and light pink lips. A really nice pattern.

Something that really surprised me was the clousure.

Its not just square  piece of welcro, but a really nice buttom. I cant help but wonder why this robe get such a nice clousure, when other barbie clothes dosent. 

The pattern on the robe goes all around to the back (yay) but the belt and the ruffels dosent (sight). I really wish the belt did because I think the robe, looks plain on the back compared to the front. But when Mydoll has her hair down you cant really see that th belt is missing on the back, and I love how it looks from the front.

Rebecca is modelling the long shirt, as it made me think of her. The shirt is pink with black stiching at the top, yellow stiching at the buttom and big silver letters with a black outline. I dont really get why the stiching at the buttom is yellow, and I think it would look better if that too was black. I thought the text saying "Little doll big dreams" would annoy me, but now that its on my doll it dosent really bother me. I just think it looks like a comfy and relaxing shirt. 

The shirt is blank on the back, but well.. its suppose to be.

Im sorry but I really dont get the thing, about doll slippers with heels. Slippers are suppose to be, fluffy, comfy and relaxing - I dont really think heels are that. I might have liked these if they were flat, but as they are right now they just dont do it for me at all. 

Okay so here I got my flat slippers but what the hect is up with the plastic leg warmers that are atached to them? 

The sleeping mask dosent help much, its just cardboard with a piece of elastic. I allso really dont get the thing with the black hearts on the pink background. 

Just cardboard, this is going in the trash.

The bag is fine, its black with some nice details. I dont really have an opinion on this bag, besides that I think it would fit better with the theme if it were a pillow. 

This yellow teddy bear is super cute and is has many molded detail like stich, a butterfly and heart in its ears.

Buttom line

Despite the few defects I really like the clothes in this fashion pack. Now I really want my dolls to have a sleepover, so they can use their new sleepwear. 

But again im dissapointed by the accessories and I only see myselvf useing the teddy bear. 

New barbie clothes - part 1

Last week I went to toys r us (yey!) to look at pretty things. 

I knew from looking at the (danish) website, that some of the barbie clothes had been set down in price. There was one outfit I had wanted for a verry long time, and there was an outfit pack that I had started to want recently. At the store I tryed to see if the clothes had print on the back, they looked nice so I bought them

I Uselly dont have anny interrest in the career themed clothes, since my dolls arent adult with jobs but teenagers who go to school. Allso some of it seems too pink, pastel and pretty, to be realistic. Ironic enought the outfit / dress I wanted is pink. I told my boyfriend that I had wanted this dress in forever, and that its pink and girly. He said that it really didint sound like my taste, I agreed with him and then I pointed out that its in one of my dolls taste. I like alot of doll clothes, because it fits one of my dolls style. If I had to choose doll clothes based on my own style there would only be one fashion pack that even came close (the one with the warm orange colors) and that one was a dissapointment. 

Ever since I started to look at Barbie clothes for my liv doll, this dress has caught my eyes. I think its cute and I thought my girl Rose would love it since its pink, gitly and kinda romantic. But what has been holding me back, is that the set is music themed. And music isint one of Roses hobby. But (one of) her best friend Emily, loves music and maybe Rose will support her friend by wearing a dress with musical notes notes on it. I allso werent sure who would get the violin. My first thought was that Emily played the guitar, but when I think about it playing the violin would suit her verry well. 

And it was half prize, so I couldent see any more reasons not to get it. 

Here the clothes in the package with the accessories

When I had removed all the stuff from the package, I noticed that the barbie girl on the cardboard is actually drawn wearing the dress. When in comes to the 3 outfit packs the girls on the cardboard are in their underwear.

Rose is modelling the dress, since it was bought for her. The dress has a simple cut, the bodice is light pink with darker pink tullet around the neckline, pink at the end of the sleeves and a silver belt that is atached to the dress. The skirt is the same light pink as the bodice but it has a pattern of bright pink hearts, white hearts, purple hearts, black music nodes and the barbie logo in bright pink  (im personally trying to ignore it)

I think this dress is verry cute, I like the pattern on the skirt and the light pink color. But I really dont feel like the silver belt fits in. It matches the shoes that you will see in a bit, but I dont think that makes it fit in. I really think it would look better if the belt was black. 

The belt dosent even go all the way around to the back, which looks weird from the sides. But if you only look at the back, I think it looks nice without the belt there. I think im going to try to get the belt off this dress, I really belive it will look better without. 

The tullet dosent go around to the back either, but I get the feeling that its not suppose to. I think it looks fine like that. Im verry happy that the print of skirt goes all the way around. 

When it comes to the accessories I was dissapointed

In the package this looked like, it could be a nice music book. But its just an ugly piece of cardboard.

If it werent blank on the back it might be less awfull, but there really is no jope for this accessory. Im just going to throw this out because its completley worthless to me. I wish they had just skipped on this accesory, and used the money to get better quality somewhere else. 

These shoes does nothing for me, and thats not only becausemy dolls cant fit them. I think they should have been black, and I think Barbie should get bigger feets so she could care shoes with my liv dolls. 

The violin looks nice but it annoy me, that Barbies name is on it. I dont want names on my doll clothes. Im not a fan of having your own name on your clothes and stuff (I dont see the point unless its to make sure people know its yours if it get lost) so I really dont want Barbies name on my doll clothes or doll accessories. Stop it Mattel, we allready know her name. 

It was a big dissapointment for me to see, that the violin dont have a back. I really think it looks bad from behind without a back, and I dont really get why it dont have one. 

The violin is not easy for my dolls to hold. Its a shame but i dont know if there is a way it could be easier to hold. 

Buttom line

I have mixed feelings about this set because I like the dress,but really dislike the belt. Im dissapointed by the accessories but i really wish the violin would have been just a little bit better - Then it wouldent have been a dissapointment but a nice accessory for my music loving gal Emily. 

I just hope Rose will be wearng the dress alot. 

EDIT

I got that ugly belt off the dress, it was actually pretty easy. I just cutted it where it was sewn to the dress, and then all of it came off. 

I really think the dress looks better without the belt, so im happy I cutted it off.
