More Paola Reina

My small Paola Reina collection have been growing, and so has my love for these dolls.

As my third doll, I wanted a girl who could be big sister to my emma. I have a rule that I cant have two dolls, with teh exact same coloring. But luckily for me they made teh readhead girl Cristi, with both blue and green eyes. I found a green eyed girls , with straight hair and side part. I thought she would be perfect as Emmas sister.

They dont have her in my local toy store, where i bought my first two dolls. I asked them if they could order her home for me, unfortunately they couldent. 
I had seen the doll for sale on an english doll shop online, so I decided to order her from there. But it turned out that they didnt have her in stock anymore. 
But then I finally found the doll use on ebay, on the pictures it looked like she was in perfect condition and she even came with an extra outfit. 

This is the girl I bought, she was in her original clothes and everything. I think her dress is a little weird but I love the color and pattern. The pretty purple color loooks really good, with her red hair and green eyes. I dont think her shoes goes well with the dress at all, they dont go with any Paola Reina outfit I have seen.

I think this dress looks better, with the simple black flats.

She has cute a realistic looking freckles.

Her hair is so beautiful, I like how the style make her look more mature. I decide to call her Amalie.

She really does look like and older sister to Emma, so im super happy with my choice.

Nina shows off the other outfit, that Amalie came with. I like the soft colors, and how cosy ot loooks. But I feel like its hard for the shirt to stay in place, since it dosent close with velcro,  its wrapped around and held in plavce by the skirt.

I braided her hair by the way, to see if I could give it a bit of curl. I just let the braid sit for a couple of weeks, before I took them out.

It did give her hair a bit of wave in the front, and it suits her. But for some reason her hair is really straight in the back, I did braid all of her hair so I find that really weird. Im thinking that dipping her hair in hot water, would get a better result all around. 

Since Amalie was hugging the black flats, I bought these black sneakers for Emma. These are verry nice, adn I wish they had the sneakers in more colors. I think they might have them in pink as well, but I want them in more colors than two.

I wanted my next doll to have short hair, and I had seen a version of the blonde blue eyed girl with short hair. But somtimes I was unsure if I really wanted her.

I knew I wanted a doll who had honey blonde hair, brown eyes and freckles. I peffered her with long wavy hair and bangs, but I didnt really want another doll with bangs. And I couldent find her with the short hairstyles.

The thing is that I was interested in these two dolls, but I though I would peffer to have only one blonde girl for my group. 

I had allmost decided to buy the girl with the short blonde hair and blue eyes. But then I found a solution, on an European online shop that sells Paola Reina dolls. They had a doll speciel for thier shop, who had short honey blonde hair, light brown eyes and freckles. So offcors I ordered her.

She was only available without clothes, but I thought that was totally fine. I really like her hairstyle, its just what I wanted. 

She has a beautiful face just like the other Paola Reina dolls. I just really love her coloring with those freckles. I named her Lisa, because she remind me of Lisa from the simpsons.

I was surprised to find out, that she is taller that my other girls. But i think I like it, she looks more different that way. But I allso found out that her feets are a bit bigger, and this kinda annoys me. Normally the shoes fit the dolls feets perfectly, so they are harder to get on her. And she cant wear leggins and shoes at the same time - bummer.

She looks cute in the pink and red summer dress

I wanted to buy some new clothes, for my cute new doll. On the facebook page for my local toy store, they wrote that they had gotten new Paola Reina things. So I was really excited to see, what they had gotten of new stuff. My boyfriend went with me to the store, and he said he would buy me one outfit as a gift. I liked all of the new clothe they had gotten, so I told my boyfriend that it would be hard to  choose just one. He said he would get me two then, he is so seet and awsome. 

This is the first outfit I choose,  and I really love this dress. I like the pattern, how the skirt is layered, the long sleves, and how nice all the colors look together. I really like that it comes with a brown vest, that you can take on and off as you like. I think this dress looks verry good on Amalie.

I choose this outfit because, I really liked the colors. The lavender cardigan and hat is super cute, and so is the flower print boluse. I think hse looks really good with a hat on. Unfortunately I dont have any shoes that looks good with this outfit, I should have bought some in he store but i totally forgot. 

I dont really like the tights under shorts look, so I pefer the outfit this way - even though it looks a littele bit cold.

I allso wanted to share this cute picture of Amalie and Nina, they are best friends.

Liv doll accesories

I allways feel like, im lacking shoes for my liv dolls. It can be hard to find the right shoes, to match an outfit - when a dont have that many pair of shoes. 

I have allso been wanting more jackets for my girls, since i really only have one.

I have been looking at this lot on Ebay, containing two accecory packs and a jacket. 

Here is the jacket in the package. Its one of my favorite liv dolls jackets, since the color is pretty and the design is simple yet different.

On  the back there is a picture of hayden, wearing the jacket. And a smaller pictures of the girls, wearing all the different jackets.  

This bright and fun accessory set, is definitely my favorite. 

On the back there is a picture of Sophie, wearing all the accessories and holding with her dog. there is a smaller picture of her, hanging out with one of the other girls. 

I mostley wanted this set for the shoes. 

On the back there is a picture of Daniella, holding the bowling bowl and the bag.There is a smaller picture of her and Katie, at the bowling alley. Is Daniella about to use the pizza as a bowling bowl?

I took the jacket out of the package, and put it on Emily. I didnt care for the fingerless gloves, they dont match the jacket and I found them hard to get on - So I kinda wish the jacket had longer sleeves. The material is really nice, and I like all the details. It looks nice with the long sleeved shirt from "Its my nature Sophie", so Emily dont have to freze her arms. I really hope to take some snow pictures of her, wearing this jacket. 

Leia tried moddeling all of these accessories, but it looks a bit too much. I really dislike the purse, its difffucult for her to hold it and it is pretty plain looking. But im happy with the yellow sandals. They dont match that many outfits, but I felt like I neede a pair of nice flat sandals.

I like the interesting shape of this necklace, I hope I can find a use for it.

This bracelet is chunky, and im not sure the shape is flattering. But I like that its colorfull, and it goes nicely withe the necklace. 

Such a nice scarf

I like the color of the food bown, but I kinda iwsh that there were some food in it. And I wish the dog could actually lover its head so it looked like she was eating.

The bowling accessories, dont have to be used for bowling. The shoes looks great on Rebeca, I really nnede a pair of sneeakers for her. And the bag could be a regulair gym bag, maybe she is on her way to her dancing class. 

The bowling ball have holes in it, that her thumb fits into. Its hollow inside, and therefore light enough for her to hold it, only using her thumb.

I rerally like the bag, since it can actually hold stuff.

For some reason I thought the pizza, would be made of cardboard - maybe because of some of the Barbie accessories that come with the fashion packs. Its made of plastic, but its kinda thin and small. It would be nice if there were a slice of pizza, so it could look like they were eating. 
I really like the soda can.


Im mostley pleased with these accessories, and I hope I will get good use of most of them. 

Emilys new wig

I have been thinking about getting Emily a new wig for quite some time. I allways thought of her as having light blonde hair, but I didnt feel like th platinum blonde color of Sophies wig suited her. I didnt really like the style of the wig either. I have been looking for wigs on Ebay and Amazon, but im not sure which wigs are the right color.

But then I noticed that the wig on Its my nature Hyaden, was pretty close to the color I want. It looks more natural blonde than the platinum, but its not as dark as Schools out Haydens wig. Since I didnt have any other plans for that wig, I decide to straighten it. I know the wig looks great, with its curls and the two braids, but I really wanted Emily to have a wig that suited her better. 

At first I didnt really knew if I liked it. But now im getting used to it, and im really happy with the result. It gives her a softer looks, which is extly what I wanted for her. You can see her wig cap, but that dosent annoy me too much. 

Another things is that I feel this color of hair, clash with her orange makeup. But I dont like that makeup for her annyway, she is more into pastel colors than orange and I think soft makeup will suit her the best. 

So I will be looking to get another Sophie in the future, maybe Schools out sophie. But right now im just happy that Emilys looks more like herself with her new wig. 

A few summer pictures

Since Lea now have gotten new eyes, I thought I would take her out for some pictures. John insisted on comming too. 

Leas outfit was made up by, Haydens pretty light yellow top, and a simple tube dress I sewed ages ago. I tink its an elegant outfit that suits her style well, now I just wish I had some shoes to match.

The sun was a bit in ,my way, but I think the picture turned out okay. 

I think they are verry cute together

I tryed to make it look like john wa climbing a tree, but the angel was difficult for me. 

I think this one turned out better.

I wish I had more pictures of my dolls from this sum,mer, but the weather hasent been great.

Eye swap fail

  

My girl Lea have Katies bright green eyes, and I have been vanting her to have Hayden green eyes. I do likes katies eyes, but I just think haydens are prettier. It took me forever to put myself together, to do the eyeswap. Lea is my first doll, and I was afraid that I was gonna damage her, while trying to put her new eyes back in.

And that was exatly what I did. I managed to scratch her eye makeup, around both eyes. One of the eyes went in perfecly at the end, but the other one didnt wanna cooperate at all. 
I left her for quite a while after that, I was frustrated and agry with myself.

But I started thinking, about trying the other method of changeing eyes. It is to cut a hole at the back of the dolls head, cut the eyes loose enouth to get out, and then put the new in. I read that it should be easier, well I didnt feel like it was.

Wonky eye

Well it was easy enoth to get the eye in, but get it to sit right was troublesome. It kept looking wonky nomatter what I did, and I cant seem to figure out what the problem is. It allmost looks like one of her eye sockets, is bigger than the other. But the eyes suit her, and I did touch up on her makeup okay. I just keeps feeling that she would have been better off, if I had just left her eyes alone.

It helps to put her glasses on and put her in her clothes, but I still notice it and it bothers me. I hope I can either fix it or live with it. 

I know there is a chance of messing up, while customizing dolls. But I feel like such an idiot sometimes.

Update on my Paola Reina dolls

Alot have happend with my Paola Reina dolls, since I introduced my first doll last year.

I went to the store where I bought her, just to look around a little. To my surprice I saw that they now had outfits and shoes. They had a few I thought were cute, and I choose this pink summer otfit.

I really liked the blouse, the headband and the bag. The skirt is difficult for her to sit in, but it looks good with the blouse. I allso bought a pair of shoes to match, I think they are verry cute.

At the store they had a beautiful doll, that I liked since I first saw pictures of her online. She was a Nora with long black hair in a pink summer dress. But at first I was a bit comfused, since the doll in the pictures online had short bangs, but the doll in the store didnt. After looking alot at her online, I decided that I liked her better without bangs. 
But the new Nora dolls for 2015 had a new head mould. I thought that I might pefer to have a Nora, that looked more unique from the other girls. But as I kept looking at pictures of her, I werent sure that I really liked the new headmould. 
I decided that I would go the store and buy a doll, maybe the Nora but maybe anothe one. When I was in the store and held Nora in my arms, there was no doubht that she was coming home with me. 

I think her dress is verry cute and her coloring is beautiful. 

She has a verry sweet face, I really dont think I like the new headmould as much. I decided to rename her Nina. 


It bothered me that I didnt have annywhere to hang the extra clothes they had - exspecially because I was planning to buy them some more. I asked my boyfriend if he would make them a clothes rack, and he said yes. 

My boyfriend measured my dolls, their clothes and made a work drawing. I was verry exited when we went out to buy materials. We dont have our own place to do this kind of project, but we visited some friends and borrowed their shed where they have a worktable and tools. 

The end result where this beauty, I love it!!. My boyfriend points out all the flaws, but im really happy with it, and it looks so good with my dolls and their clothes. 

So offcors I went out to buy them some new clothes. I came home with this cute and simple set, I didnt buy new shoes because I thought the black flats matched nicely. The only thing is that I kinda wish, this set had come with pants instead of those pink stockings. 

Since we where allready out, I decided to buy some jewelry drawers from the hobbyy shop. 

They were plain white so I painted them green and puple. I put underwear and headbands in the drawers, and there is room for much more. 

There shelf sure seems more homely now that they got some funiture. 

I hope to buy another Paola Reina doll soon.
