Eye swap fail

My girl Lea have Katies bright green eyes, and I have been vanting her to have Hayden green eyes. I do likes katies eyes, but I just think haydens are prettier. It took me forever to put myself together, to do the eyeswap. Lea is my first doll, and I was afraid that I was gonna damage her, while trying to put her new eyes back in.

And that was exatly what I did. I managed to scratch her eye makeup, around both eyes. One of the eyes went in perfecly at the end, but the other one didnt wanna cooperate at all.
I left her for quite a while after that, I was frustrated and agry with myself.

But I started thinking, about trying the other method of changeing eyes. It is to cut a hole at the back of the dolls head, cut the eyes loose enouth to get out, and then put the new in. I read that it should be easier, well I didnt feel like it was.

Wonky eye
Well it was easy enoth to get the eye in, but get it to sit right was troublesome. It kept looking wonky nomatter what I did, and I cant seem to figure out what the problem is. It allmost looks like one of her eye sockets, is bigger than the other. But the eyes suit her, and I did touch up on her makeup okay. I just keeps feeling that she would have been better off, if I had just left her eyes alone.

It helps to put her glasses on and put her in her clothes, but I still notice it and it bothers me. I hope I can either fix it or live with it.
I know there is a chance of messing up, while customizing dolls. But I feel like such an idiot sometimes.

EDIT

I think this might be a bit better

Update on my Paola Reina dolls

Alot have happend with my Paola Reina dolls, since I introduced my first doll last year.

I went to the store where I bought her, just to look around a little. To my surprice I saw that they now had outfits and shoes. They had a few I thought were cute, and I choose this pink summer otfit.

I really liked the blouse, the headband and the bag. The skirt is difficult for her to sit in, but it looks good with the blouse. I allso bought a pair of shoes to match, I think they are verry cute.

At the store they had a beautiful doll, that I liked since I first saw pictures of her online. She was a Nora with long black hair in a pink summer dress. But at first I was a bit comfused, since the doll in the pictures online had short bangs, but the doll in the store didnt. After looking alot at her online, I decided that I liked her better without bangs.
But the new Nora dolls for 2015 had a new head mould. I thought that I might pefer to have a Nora, that looked more unique from the other girls. But as I kept looking at pictures of her, I werent sure that I really liked the new headmould.
I decided that I would go the store and buy a doll, maybe the Nora but maybe anothe one. When I was in the store and held Nora in my arms, there was no doubht that she was coming home with me.

I think her dress is verry cute and her coloring is beautiful.

She has a verry sweet face, I really dont think I like the new headmould as much. I decided to rename her Nina.

It bothered me that I didnt have annywhere to hang the extra clothes they had - exspecially because I was planning to buy them some more. I asked my boyfriend if he would make them a clothes rack, and he said yes.

My boyfriend measured my dolls, their clothes and made a work drawing. I was verry exited when we went out to buy materials. We dont have our own place to do this kind of project, but we visited some friends and borrowed their shed where they have a worktable and tools.

The end result where this beauty, I love it!!. My boyfriend points out all the flaws, but im really happy with it, and it looks so good with my dolls and their clothes.

So offcors I went out to buy them some new clothes. I came home with this cute and simple set, I didnt buy new shoes because I thought the black flats matched nicely. The only thing is that I kinda wish, this set had come with pants instead of those pink stockings.

Since we where allready out, I decided to buy some jewelry drawers from the hobbyy shop.

They were plain white so I painted them green and puple. I put underwear and headbands in the drawers, and there is room for much more.
There shelf sure seems more homely now that they got some funiture.

I hope to buy another Paola Reina doll soon.

New liv doll - Its my nature hayden

It has been a verry long time, since I got a new liv doll - it has been over a year.

Its my nature is my favorite line of liv dolls. I like the theme, I like the clothes and I like all the accesories they come with. I have Sophie, Daniela and Alexis, but I have been wanting Hayden and Katie as well.
Now I finally have Hayden, and I LOVE her.
I didnt take any picture of her in the package, since I was VERRY eager to get her out.

Her outfit dosent really match, but I still like it verry. I especially like her yellow blouse, green shorts and the rainboots. I like her leggings too, but i would like them better if they were longer - they go to her knees. Its allways nice to have more liv doll clothes, its good quality and I enjoy mixing and matching outfits.

I think her butterfly earrings are super cute.

These are teh accesories that come with her. My favorite is the rabbit, but I really like the net too.

She can even hold it.

Im really happy that I finally got this doll, she has been high on my wishlist forever. She was abit exspensive, but i know liv dolls wont get cheaper, and she was worth the money.
My plans for the doll herslf, is that she is gonna be Leas younger sister - I just need to put a brown wig on her. Lilly is gonna get the rabbit and the shorts, Lea will get the blouse and Matt will get the hat.

Im looking forward to buying my next liv doll. I hope I can find a Daniella with her dog in good condition and with all her stuff.

Dollhouse accessories

This weekend I discovered that a convenience store, had some dollhouse funiture and accessories. I was verry surpriced as it is rare, to find something for dollhouses in Denmark. I have found dollhouse funiture in a hobby shop before, but I have never exspected to find them in a commom convenience store. The funiture and accessories, looked verry well made with many details. I exspected them to be expencive because they looked so hight quality, but they were actually quite cheap. I would have bought a few of the funitures, if it werent because they were too small for my liv dolls.
But there were two accessory packs, that looked like I could use them. I werent totally sure, but since I probably wouldent comr across them again, I decided to buy.

This is the first one I picked, I liked the basket and the jars with spices. I allso thought I could have good use for the plate.

Out of the package I REALLY like the basket. Allthrough I kinda wish, that I could take whats in the basket out and put somethingn else in it - just to change things up sometimes. But I do really like how everything looks.

And it looks good when my doll carry it.

I love the pattern on this plate, but im not totally sure whats on it. To me it kinda looks like, a pice of bread with some butter and a knife. - or maybe it is cheese. I think the plate might look better, with more recognizable food on it. But oh well its glued on.

I like these alot, they are cute and look verrry realistic

I find it a little annoying that the rolling pin, is glued to the bags of flour. I can see good use for the rolling pin and the bags of flour ina kichen setup, but since they are glued together I find them a little akward looking.

The second set I bought, was this sewind set. I thought it looked  adorable, even thought I dont know what the thing in the middle is.

I really like this basket with sewing supplies, it looks detailed and generally really well made.

Cute! im glad the buttons are glued in

I have no idea what this is. Could it be collored wool?

Love the pattern on the sewing mashine, but besides that I feel like its a little plain. And unfortunally its a little small. I would have liked it to be bigger with more details. I kinda feel like the iron should have come in a package with a ironing board.

I werent really sure if I could use thse accessories with my dolls, since I dont have a dollhouse to put them in. I bet they would look nice in a furnished room. But then I did this setup, with the sewing mashine and the sewing supplies. Even through I dont have a proper doll table, I think it looks really good and it all work so well together.

I allso made this setup.
These accessories are great, and I kinda want more now. But I have a buget to stick to, and I really want a new liv doll.

Late snow pictures

When it snowed here in  Denmark a couple of months ago, I quickly decided that I wanted to take a few pictures, of my liv dolls in the snow - but I totally forgot to share them. It has actually been snowing this week in some parts of the country, but nothing has stayed and today the weather was verry spring-like.

Annyways it was Emily and Hannah who wanted to enjoy the beautiful white landscape.

Hujoo Freya

I got these two dolls a couple of weeks ago, and I was verry exited. Having a ball jointed elastic strung doll is definitely new and exiting for me.
Im uselly not into the asian ball jointed dolls - I often dont like the style, and there are alot of things I dont understand about them.
These dolls however, are different to me. I fell in love with them when I first saw them on the blog called Conffesions of  a doll collectors daughter. Cats are one of my favorite animals, And i thought these dolls looked super cute. I did find it weird that they are sold blank, without eyes and clothes - but I thought it would be a nice challange to paint them myself and find the right eyes. I really liked these dolls, And I was plesant surpriced to discover that they were affordable. But I knew I couldent buy them annytimne soon, since I was focusing on liv dolls, and I didnt have an idea for these cats.
They came out with a male version and a kitty version, which gave me the idea to have a cat family living in a doll house. I decided that I would not consider buying them, before I knew exatly which once I wanted, how I wanted them to look and what their names should be. I came up with ideas for 6 cats, 3 adults and 3 kittens. I wanted to buy them last year, but it was not in the buget since I was saving up for a car. So one of the first thing I did this year, was to finally buy them. They are sold on a website called The Junky spot. I wanted to buy the white Freya to be the mother, but she was unfortunately sold out. So I bought the light grey Freyr to be the dad, and a white nano Freya to be a female kitten. I named the dad Tapsy, and I named the kitten Schoko.
They came with tails and magnets I can glue on, but I dont plan on doing that before I have painted them. They dont have eyes yet, but I still find them quite cute and it dosent bother me. I do know what eyes I wanna get them, its gonna be these cat eyes from Ersa Flora
They pose verry well, and I have enjoyed playing with them allmost every day.
I tryed some of my ken doll clothes on Tapsy, but it hangs loose on him. My liv doll clothes fit him a big better, but he is genrally shorter.

Im really looking forwad to adding to the family, I hope the white Freya will be back in stock soon.
