Barbie Bohemian Fashion pack.

My doll Cassie didn't really have annything to wear when I got her, so I have been wanting to buy some clothe for her for quite a while now.

I did end up finding her an temporary outfit, but I was still looking for something better, since this jumper dosen't have the print on the back, and I dislike that alot.

I allways thought the bohemian fashion pack would be perfect for her, as I imagne her wearing warm colors and I thought the bohemian style would suit her. I was lucky to find the fashion pack in a danish toy store, a couple of weeks ago. 

The dress in this set has warm eathy colors and an interesting pattern that goes all the way around the back. I was positively surprised to find that this dress has a decent lenght and a lose fit around the legs, I thought it was a tight fitting mini dress. The set allso contains a very pretty orange belt with a yellow flower decoration, that is ideal to use with this dress.

But I have seen some people useing the belt as a headband, so i decided to try that, and I like it better as a headband than a belt. The set allso came with brown gladiator sandals, that look good with both outfits.

The second outfit is more casual, with a top, shorts and a shirt. The shirt seems elegant and light, withn its sheen material and pretty flower pattern. The shirt kind of make the outfit, since it would be a little boring without. The shorts are pretty standart and boring, I do like the orange/yellow top, but I wish it was more orange, since I am laking orange clothing for my dolls. 

Overall I am very happy with this fashion pack, I am glad Cassey finally got some nice clothes, and I think the outfits really suits her. 

I allso got a accessory pack, contaning some things that looks good with the bohemian outfits. I choose this pack mostley for the belt, the bracelet and the necklace. The binoculars and the drink is nice accessories as well, but the sunglasses are completely useless. 

I thought the orange bracelet looks nice with both of the new outfits, but the necklace allso looks good with the drerss. 

The dolls can hold the binoculars, and I like that they are blue. Unfortunately for me, the doll In ahve who are most likely to use binoculars, is a liv dolls, and that wouldm look weird with tghe big head and eyes. But I do hope a Barbie dolls might want to use binoculars one day.

A place for my figures

I took a break from my blog because of school. I want to get back to writing and sharing stuff, but there is so much I want to talk about, so I find it difficult to know where to start.
Therefore I am starting with the thing that got done today, since it is fresh in my mind and I am pretty exited about it.

After I started collecting schleich bayala figures in december 2015, I have slowly started collecting more figures. First I strated to collect kitty in my pocket figuires, that are very cute and looks great with my liv dolls. But I allso bought some finding dory figures, buying merchandise is not something I uselly do, but I really liked those figures. I even considered collecting schleich kats, but I decided against it, since I dont want to collect too many figures, and schelich is pretty addictive so I better not. 
A few of my kitty in the pocket figures lives with my liv dolls, but I had no idea where to put the rest of them, let alone the finding dory once. After talking with my boyfriend about it, we agreed that we did have a bit og space for some small shelfs, and that was all I needed.
We could not find shelfs that was small enough, but my handy boyfriend decided that he would cut some from leftover wood. Today it was finally done, and I am very happy with the result.

We found some space right besides the small living room window, and above our whiteboard. 

My boyfriend made 3 shelfs, so there would be one for teh shelf as well, they deserved a better place that being Stached above the schleich bayala figures.

i am very happy that my zelfs got a better place, I really do enjoy them even though I stopped collecting them. 

I really like kitty in my pocket figures, I am a cat person, and I love how cute and fussy they are. Right now I opnly have those form series 1, I hope series 2 come to the danish toy stores soon, series 2 of puppy in my pocket is here so I really think the kitties should be as well. 

I think the Finding Dora figures are very nice, but if I found some figures I like more, I will probablly end up removing the Dory figures. 

I kinda hope I find some new interestiung figures I like, because it is allways so exiting to start a new collecting, but then I allso hope I dont because it can be exhausting and I dont really feel like spendingn money and time on a new collection right now.

My Tonner dolls

I realised that I have not talked about my Tonner dolls. I talked about getting my first Tonner doll, and I mentioned wanting to get another doll, but I have not talked about the dolls themself

The Deja Vu male viking, was the doll I feel in love with, I knew I would regret it if I did not buy him. 

It was really a sepciel experience for me to open him up, I felt like I was discovering a tressure. I really enjoyed unpacking all of his accesories, I love that he came with so much.

Deja vu, Halvar

I know his clothing is not historical acurate, but to me it looks close enough. His clothe is so very well done and detailed. I really love his detailed tunic, and his simple but well done cloak. I  allso really like his long curly hair. I really love his whole look.

His face is handpainted, his eyes are so detailed and beautifully painted. I like how detailed his facial hair is. I kind of wish he had a full beard, but I understand why they could not do that. I think he has a very nice serene expression, he looks pretty thoughtful. 

Here he is with all of his accessories. His axe looks like a butterknife, I would like to try and make him a new one. His helm is very nice, I like the details. The shape of the helmet is very realistic, exept for the horns, I dont like the horns on teh helmet at all. His sheild looks absolutley awsome though, I just have trouble making him hold it. 

I had high hopes that I would buy another viking doll, to keep him company. They did make two female vikings, but they were dressed up in weird female varrior outfits. I was hoping for a female  doll dressed in a nice viking dress, and decked out in viking jewelry. But then the Tonner doll company announced, that they would stop making their current doll lines, so the hope for a proper female viking went out the window. I still did not want my guy to be alone, so I looked into some other Tonner Deja vu dolls that I really liked. These dolls were dressed in beautiful dresses inspired by medieval fashion. That was not a hinderence for me though, as I quickly decided that he could fit in mideval times as well. The hinderence however was that these dolls were discountiued, so I had to go to ebay and paitiently wait for a doll to show up for sale. Luckily for me the doll I wanted the most, showed up on ebay in the beginning of march. She cost mored than the guy because, she was a limited edition convention exclusive. Fortunately I had some vaccation money, so I bought the doll as a birthday gift for myself.

Deja Vu, Lady Arabella

I LOVE her gown, it is such a beautiful color, the material is very soft, and the design is so elegant. I could go on about the details in this dress foever. I allso love her red hair, and beautiful hairstyle. The color of her face does not match the color of her body (notabily neck and hands) which were probably why teh seller wanted to sell her, but that does not borther me much. 

She allso have a beautiful handpainted face, and she has fake eyelashed. I like her slightly open mouth, I think she has alot of attitude. 

Here is the couple are together. I named him Gerion, and her Lianna, they are named after charcters from the Song of Ice and fire bookseries.

Their permenet place is on a shelf in my white bookcase, but I allso took some pictures of them on my Liv doll shelf with the forrest poster background.

These dolls are really speciel to me, and I love them both. I am so happy with these two, that I kind of want another Deja vu lady Arabella. But I dont think another doll will fit on that shelf, and right now, and I really am satisfied with the two dolls I have. I am going to wait and see what happends next year, maybe I will add another Tonner doll to my collection then.

Paola Reina - New Nora

Okay so I was looking at the Paola Reina website, to see what dolls were new for this year. I was hoping to see a doll with long straight brown hair and brown eyes, since that fits the character I have in mind. Instead I totally feel in love with this new Nora.

I fell in love with her speciel hair, all Nora dolls have black hair, and very few of them have really curly hair. I haven't liked any of the Nora dolls with the new face yet, but this girl looks so cute with her big brown hair.

I allways thought that if I was gonna get a Paola Reina with the new Nora face, I would have to sell my old Nora. But this girl looks very different from the doll I allready have, so I am pretty sure I can own them both and have them be very different characters. I thought abour making them sisters, but I dont actually feel for that idea, even thought it would be the easiest way to get the new Nora into the story.

I honestly thought that a Paola Reina doll with long brown hair and brown eyes would be my last girl, and then I might get two boys. I was really not exspecting to totally fall in love with a new doll, and having to add another girl to the group. 

Paola Reina - Liu

It was my plan to buy a new paola Reina doll, during fall last year, but I ended up being too focused on the made to move Barbie dolls. So I decided to really prioritize getting a Paola Reina doll this year, so I bought Liu last month.
The Liu I got was new for 2016. I choose her, because I really wanted a Liu without bangs, and this one has a cute dress. I really like her hairstyle, I think the wavy hair with a side part suits her very well.

Here is Liu in the box, after I took the lid off. She is only held in place with rubber bands around her legs and neck. 

It was very easy to free Liu, I just removed 3 rubber bands, and removed the plastic band that was holding her hair in place. 

Out of the box Liu looks verry cute. Her dress is simple but verry nice, I like how the red and blue looks together. I think this dress, is a nice everyday dress. I think it is very cute that she has a bow in her hair, and I kike the flowery pattern that is on her bow and her bag. But I dont really think that the bow matches her dress, the flowers on the pattern is reddish color, but it is not the same red color as the dress. I quess it kind of works, but personally I dont think it goes together all that well. 

Liu has pale skin and very dark brown eys, that looks totally black. She does not have any pupils in her eyes, what looks like pupils in this picture, is just a reflection of light. She has fake eyelashes, that tedn to looks crooked or a little too long. She has small faint eyebrow, that is feathered. I would personally have liked it, if the eyebrows were alittle bigger, more defined and had two colors, my liv dolls eyebrows are more detailed, and they are smaller dolls. I often feel like the level of detail in the eyebrows, dont match the level of details in the lips. lius lips are beautifully sculped, and painted with a very realistic color. 

Luis face sculpt is different than the other dolls, her eye is narrower and I think her lips are a different shape too. Her skin color is allso lighter, which suprised me, as I thought she was the same color as the other light skinned Paola Reina dolls.

Liu was wearing black flats, I allready ahve a pair of black flats, but the once Liu came with are different. The new shoes are big, and a bit chunky, while the old shoes are smaller, and fit better. The new shoes are allso lighter, since they have soft foam under the bottom, while the old shoes have a harder leather like bottom. I perfer the old shoes alot, since they look better and fit better, but those shoes are a bit hard to get onl. I bet the shoes was changed, so children easier can get the shoes on the dolls feets. I think this change happedn last year, but I am not sure if something that happedn with all the shoes. While I personally dont like this change, I can see why they have done it. 

I ended up giving Luis dress to Nina, while the dress looks cute on Liu, it really pops against Ninas dark skin. And Ninas color is red, so I thought this dress was perfect for her. 

In turn Liu got one of Ninas old outfits, and i think it looks really cute on her. i think she very light pink blouse, look good with her delicate skin color. While I changed her outfit, I allso removed her hairband, which changed her hairstyle quite a bit.

I really like the swoop her bangs make, and how thick her hair looks, but I think this hairstyle makes her look too grown up. I think she looks 11 or 12 years old, with this hairstyle, and my intention is for her chracter to be 8 or 9. 

I did end up figuring out how I wanted her hair, but I am not able to take a picture of it right now, because my boyfriend is blocking my foto area with some of his stuff, and it will take him some time to clean it up. But i did decide on a name for this doll, I am going to name her Sara. 

A bunch of Barbie clothes

Toys R US advertised that they had a huge sale during January and most of February. I looked at the danish Toys R US website, and I found two barbie dresses that I really wanted, for 42% off. I ordered the two dresses, for pickup in the store nearest me. When I got to the store to pick up teh dresses, they were filling up the shelves with new items. They had a bunch of a red dress that were 42% off as well, but it had not been avalible to order through the website. There were allso a box of single fashions (tops, skirts pants and such), most ifo them I didn't really like, I have seen soem online that I liked better. But there was this white an dpink pair of pants, and offcors I wanted more Barbie pants. Then a store clerk told me that there were a box of barbie accessories she had not yet pup on the shelf, and those were on sale as well. I dove in and found a pack with a pair of shoes I really wanted.

I was VERRY excited to walk out of the store with 3 barbie dresses, a pair of pants and a accessory pack. I uselly dont buy so much at a time, but I only spend about the same amount a fashion pack with two outfits costs. 

I bought this blue and yellow dress for Kira, because those are her colors and it looked like a nice everyday dress. The top of the dress is a nice soft strech ,material, and I think the blue and white stripes are great for a casual look. The skirt however is shiny and stiff, it looks wrinkled, and it does not fall verry niicely. Besides that I dont like the yellow waistband, it is a shiny material as well and it looks very useless since it is the exact same color as the skirt. I would have liked if it was a different color so it would stand out, then I think it would have made more sense to me.

The waistband does not go all the way around, which I don't like at all. 

When she sits down in her dress, it is sagging alot around her hips, and I dont like that either. I think i might be able to get use to it, but I display my dolls sitting down and I dont like when it looks like they are wearing a sack. 

I still think the colors look nice on her though, and I think I have solved my waiatband problem. I put this brown plastic belt over the fabric, and I think that looks much better, I allso paired the dress with her golden sandals, and a bracelet from the accessory pack I just bought. 

This dress is so beautiful, I really like the flowery pattern and the colors. so I HAD to get it. I was so it would look nice on Shina, and so it did. The fit is perfect and purple have allways suited Shina really well. The fabric allso feels nice, it is synthetic, but it is soft and behaves like it should. 

The pattern on the dress goes all the way around, which is very important for me. I have some Barbie clothes that have beautiful patterns on them, but it annoys me too much that the clothe is only pretty from the front, so I don't use that clothe annymore. 

I REALLY like this verry pretty and cute summer dress, I hope to take some pictures of Shina wearing it when spring comes around. 

I must admit that I mostley wanted this dress because I thought it was pretty. I red is one of my favorite colors, I really like flower prints and teh cut of teh dress is different from what we uselly see. I did think the dress could work, for my flower and romance loving liv dolls Rose. The way the dress is made, the hips looks very big and the bodice slides down. But my issue with rose wearing it, is that the dress is too loose around her waist, that really bothered me.

This dress allso have a waistband, but it looks much better since it is white. 

The prin cont8inues all teh way around, Yey! But the waistband does not, that is a shame. Looking at my doll from behind while she is wearing this dress, really make it looks like she have a biot bootey, she really dosen't.

The dress is not as loose on my Barbie dolls, but none of my girls actually wants it. As of right now I dont know what to do with this dress, but I really hope I figure it out. I do really like this dress, it is just a very troublesome piece of clothing. 

I espected the pink and white pants to be thin, but they are actually pretty thick, they allmost feel like a denim kind of meterial. The pants does make the dolls hips looks a bit bigger, but I dont think it looks bad. I think the pink pattern on the pants look verry interesting.

The pattern thankfully goes all the way around. They close in the back with velcro, and they stay closed when she sits down, far from all doll pants does that. 

I thought the pants would go with alot of different shirts, but I actually found it difficult to match them with something. I am sure I will figure something out, and Aisha seemed to like this pair of pants.

I mostley bought the accessory pack, because of these gladiator sandals. They are different than other barbie shoes I have, because they go up highter on the dolls leg. These shoes lock the dolls anckles in place, it is a bit annoying, but it does not bother me too much. I really like these shoes, they are very stylish, and they go with alot of different outfits. One of my dolls are allready wearing them.

I like the color of these shoes, but I dont like the style. I doubht I am going to use these, but I felt the same about the high heeled boots I got in my last accessory pack, and those ended up being Aishas favorite shoes

The bag is the same color as the shoes, I like that. I allso like that you can put things in the bag, but since I dont use plastic bags for my dolls, it wont make much of a difference for me. I think it looks weird that there are holes in the bag, that would not be very useful if it was a real bag.

This bracelet is really nice. The metalic blue color goes well with a lot of things, and so does the style of the bracelet, it can both be egdy and elegant. I have allready put this bracelet on Kira, since it was a good match for her new dress.

I dont like these sunglasses at all, they are too big and round, they make the doll look verry bug eyed. I dont really use sunglasses on my dolls to begin with, but these are too awfull to even consider.

But they do look nice enough on top of her head.

I have mixed feelings about this silver necklace. I like that it is silver colored, and it sits really well on the dolls neck. But it is a really chuncky necklace, and I dont know if I like that, since I am unsure if it will look good with any of my dolls dresses.

Michelle rock these accessories, but she will have to share with her friends.

That is all I got for now, but I hope to get some more doll clothes soon. I really want my new Barbie dolls to have nice clothe that fit their style, and I plan to get even more Barbie dolls, that wilkl need new clothes.
